FAQ - Dahlia Tubers

Orders and payment method

What is the fastest way to pay on your website?

For faster payment, open a Shop Pay account. Shop Pay stores your payment and shipping information and enables a fast and accurate checkout experience.

It is not possible to open an account on our website. ShopPay, ApplePay, Paypass Express or GooglePay are applications that allow fast and secure payment.

Are the tubers reserved in my basket?

We have added an application that allows you to reserve the items in your basket for just 5 minutes . However, if you exceed these 5 minutes, the item will be automatically removed from your basket. If you add multiple items, they will be removed chronologically after their respective reservation period. We therefore recommend that you build your shopping list as soon as possible and use the search bar to find your items more quickly.

Can I combine orders?

Unfortunately, we will no longer combine orders since it causes too much error and handling.

However, with the application which reserves the items in your basket for 5 minutes, you will not need to place several orders to reserve your tubers.

What are the payment methods ?

We accept credit card payments on our website as well as through Paypal. It is not possible to pay by phone or Interac transfer.

Is the price for 1 single tuber?

Yes ! The price shown is for 1 tuber. This tuber will multiply during the summer, so you will have several the following year.

Can I pick up my tuber order at the farm?

It will no longer be possible to pick up your order from the farm. All tuber orders will be shipped by mail.

Can I come and choose the tubers at the farm?

Our tuber sale is online only. We do not have an on-site store to be able to sell in person.

When will the tubers be delivered?

Once your order is made, you will receive a confirmation email. The tubers will be delivered from April or when the weather permits. (Tubers should not be shipped when temperatures are below 0 degrees Celsius). When we are ready to ship, you will receive a new email with a tracking number.

Orders will be processed in the order received.

Do you deliver anywhere in the world?

We deliver tubers to Canada only. You can see shipping costs and terms of sale here.

Return, cancellation and refund

We have chosen and sent your tubers carefully. It is still important to check if you have non-viable tubers (broken, rotten or shriveled) when you receive your package.

If this is the case, you have 24 hours following receipt of your package to contact us to take advantage of our refund or exchange guarantee. Send an email to with a description of the problem and photos of your tubers.

Can I cancel my order?

For any canceled orders, a 25% restocking fee will be applied. These fees are intended to offset the costs associated with managing and processing cancellations, as well as to ensure the continuity of our services. We thank you for your understanding in this regard. All tuber orders are final after March 31, 2024.

Reimbursement in the form of credit

We are determined to ensure customer satisfaction. Thus, in the event of non-viable tubers, poorly identified tubers or if our inventory is no longer sufficient, we will offer gift cards of a value equivalent to the product.

Tuber health

Can you guarantee that the tubers are virus free?

On the farm, we clean our tools well when dividing the tubers and when picking in the field. We systematically eliminate all tubers and plants suspected of carrying a virus. However, it is not possible for us to test all of our plants for all viruses in dahlias. We therefore cannot guarantee that our tubers are disease free. We are sorry if your plant appears to have a virus, but we no longer provide refunds for this.

Can you guarantee that the tubers delivered will grow?

We guarantee that all tubers we send have at least one viable bud (eye) and are in good condition for planting. However, we cannot be responsible for tubers once they have been stored or planted by customers.

We are committed to providing the highest quality tubers, but weather, soil, pests and other environmental factors affect tuber performance.

Can you guarantee that I will receive the variety I ordered?

All our tubers are meticulously identified during flowering and division. When sending, all tubers are also individually identified.

However, we are human and there can be mistakes. If you did not receive the correct variety, you can write to us at to obtain a gift card.

What are the procedures to follow when receiving the tubers?

1. Take the tubers out of the box so as not to rot them;

2. Take a tray, a plastic box or a large garbage bag and place a little damp garden soil at the bottom;

3. Place the tubers on the ground and cover them lightly with damp soil;

4. Place your open container or bag near a light source and moisten the soil as needed;

5. You can leave your tubers in your container for several weeks. Plant your tubers in the ground after all risk of frost.
